York Union stalwart Jonathan Plaxton is among a fab four going for York Union Matchplay glory on finals day at Sandburn Hall.
Last year's Yorkshire Union President will meet fellow Fulford club mate George Robson in a clash of the generations at the Flaxton club on September 24 - as part of a day of thrilling action to decide the matchplay champion.
Plaxton has two Sandburn Hall scalps to his credit this year, having beaten both Bryan Wilson and Will Adamson 3&1 to reach the last four.
Robson, meanwhile, saw off Plaxton's son, Ben, in his opening match at the 19th hole. Now, following a walkover against Oliver Adamson, he will be looking to complete a father and son double.
In the other half of the draw, Mark Christie will take on James Pinkney. The latter defeated Lee Bond 4&3 in his last encounter, while Christie took a walkover from Malton & Norton's David Hague.
The two semi-finals start at 9am and 9.15am and spectators are welcome. The final will be played in the afternoon.
