Home advantage summarises this year's Crossley Trophy

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Thanks for everyone turning out this Sunday at Malton & Norton. We would all appreciate the course conditions but outsiders should appreciate that scoring was not easy. CSS was calculated as plus 3 (74) which should give everyone a great idea about how tough it was.

Home players familiar with course conditions definitely took advantage and claimed three of the four net prizes on offer, including the top prize. Well done Scott Preston (M&N) with his score of 69 who finished a stroke ahead of Ian Charlton (M&N) on 70, whilst previous winner Carl Tyrer (Fulford) claimed third place. Rich Brown (M&N) claimed the final net prize with a level par 72 beating Nick Dyson (Fulford) and Kevin Magson (Kirkbymoorside) to the final prize.

There were also three Gross prizes on offer. Jamie Miller (Fulford) managed a superb 73, with the other prizes going to Nick Dyson for his 75, and Will Adamson (Sandburn Hall) with 76. Kevin Magson, also with 76, again lost out on countback
