Match play semi-final line ups
Players qualifying for the Semi-finals of the York Union Matchplay competitions have now been decided, and raise the intriguing possibility of a father and son collecting the trophies on the 25th August at Forest of Galtres. Results to date are on the web-site and in the attached draw sheets.
In the handicap event for the Pike Hills cup, Tom George Snr (York) faces Pete Kolton (Forest of Galtres) in the first match at 9:00 a.m. with Craig Train (Fulford) teeing off against Dave Spofforth (York) at 9:10.
The first semi-final for the Scratch Championship for the Wilkinson Trophy tees off at 9:20 a.m. when Ben Stables (Scarthingwell) is up against Marcus Brigham (Malton & Norton). The second semi-final is an all York meeting between Matt Hull and Tom George Jnr who tee-off at 9:30.
Who will get bragging rights? Spectators are welcome, and the players will appreciate your support.
